Admissions Criteria

Ryburn is a popular school with more applicants than its 270 places and is described as a truly comprehensive school that does not select pupils on the basis of aptitude or ability. All applications are handled through Calderdale Council with one round of admissions each year. To apply, you must complete an application form. In-Year transfers are possible; there is a waiting list and reallocation process if places are not initially offered. Open Evening is held and transition arrangements are in place to support new pupils joining Year 7.
