Admissions Criteria

Sporting Stars Academy is an independent school for ages 14–19. Admissions may come from Local Authorities referring permanently excluded students or students at risk of permanent exclusion; authorities referring students with Education, Health and Care Plans; authorities referring students transferring to the locality for interim placements or looked-after children; secondary schools referring students who would benefit from education at the Academy; parents applying directly. Parents are responsible for fees attached to placements. A formal application is required, via an enquiry form or a referral form from the school/Local Authority, and the Academy maintains regular communication with Local Authorities and funding bodies. A formal application and funding agreements are required to secure a place.
