Islamic ethos underpinning all school life, based on the Qur'an and authentic Sunnah. Quranic studies, daily prayers, and Arabic are integrated; Islamic Studies and Qur’an instruction with Tajweed and Tafseer are part of the curriculum.
Headteacher Stuart Ellis emphasises a safe, caring, and creatively inspiring learning environment rooted in The Quran and Sunnah, with a strong focus on open communication among students, staff and parents. He invites visitors to North Road Academy to experience the community and underscores Learn to Achieve as a guiding principle.
Clubs
Centre for Exceptional Children provides SEND support in four ways: (1) EHCP students may be educated in the SEN Centre with a bespoke curriculum; (2) EHCP students may be educated in the Mainstream Academy with access to differentiated support; (3) weekly SEN SOS surgeries to offer guidance; (4) the SEN Centre analyses assessment data to identify students who score below threshold for targeted interventions. Opened June 2022 and ongoing development to accommodate varying needs.
North Road Nursery provides free childcare (to those entitled) over 38 weeks per year during term time. Free 15 hours of childcare/early education for 3- and 4-year-olds usually from the start of the term after the child’s 3rd birthday.
