"Bringing Learning To Life: No Limits. No Barriers."
Acting Principal Mr West describes Ocean Academy as ambitious and inclusive, with a focus on developing confident, resilient and compassionate learners through three guiding principles: self-worth, engagement, and purpose. He invites families to visit and see the opportunities available.

Ocean Academy monitors pupils' progress, uses quality first teaching, and has a dedicated SENCO overseeing support. For pupils with additional needs, an Individual Education Plan (IEP) or Individual Behaviour Plan (IBP) may be drawn up to meet needs. IEPs/IBPs are reviewed at least twice a year, and parents are involved in discussions. The academy liaises with outside agencies such as Speech and Language Therapists, Educational Psychologists, Counselling Services, Inclusion Support Services, and other health/educational services to support pupils. The safety and wellbeing of pupils is prioritized, with risk assessments in place and access to additional support where needed.
Ocean Academy does not serve a specified catchment area and invites applications from pupils regardless of where they live. The academy will offer Year 3 places (90 places for September 2026) with tours and an information evening for prospective parents; further details are available through the admissions team. The form to appeal can be found via the admissions information.
