Welcome from Head of School Mrs N Brennan. St John’s is a one-form entry primary academy in Wednesbury with a broad and challenging curriculum. It is described by Ofsted as a 'Good' school in all areas (Ofsted, February 2023), with a strong sense of pastoral care and welfare across the school.
Clubs
Reception places: 30 children admitted into the reception class at the start of the school year. Apply via Sandwell Council admissions. Mid-year transfers require a form. Admission priority: 1) looked-after children or previously looked after children; 2) children with social or medical needs making the school suitable, with priority to Anglican faith; 3) children whose parents regularly attend worship at an Anglican church within the Deanery of Wednesbury and who have submitted ASU75/A and parish priest support; 4) children with a brother or sister in the school; 5) all other children. Oversubscription criteria include admitting looked-after children and distance as a tie-break. Appeals go to an independent panel.
