St Boniface’s Catholic College is a Roman Catholic Comprehensive school for boys in Plymouth. As part of the Edmund Rice Community, it joins schools around the UK in celebrating the life and work of Blessed Edmund Rice, and welcomes all those who want to learn in a supportive, caring and aspirational environment. St Boniface’s College is a Roman Catholic Christian Community. It is committed to striving for excellence in all its members through the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum involving spiritual, moral, cultural, academic, social and physical education, delivered to the whole young person. All teaching and learning is done within the context of the teaching of the Catholic faith. The Chaplaincy team promotes the Catholic ethos through word, worship, witness, welcome and welfare. The chapel is open daily for reflection and visits; parish priests provide regular sacramental and pastoral support. The school commemorates liturgical year celebrations and annual retreats; the motto is Do Good: Honour, Integrity, Service; the Hallmarks and seven Virtues underpin the curriculum (Faith, Temperance, Justice, Charity, Hope, Fortitude, Prudence). The school welcomes students from other faith backgrounds or none, recognizing diversity as enriching. The mission is to help students develop into young men who radiate Catholic Virtues within a faith-based learning community.

Facilities

Main campus at Manadon Park with sports facilities at Marsh Mills and Manadon Astroturf. Premises and Facilities: large assembly space, classroom or smaller meeting space available for discussions between the provider and students and ICT equipment is available. The library homes a careers section where literature can be left for students to access during the day.

Priority will be given to Catholic looked after and previously looked after children who were previously looked after but immediately after being looked after became subject to adoption, a child arrangements order, or special guardianship order including those who appear to the admission authority to have been in state care outside England and ceased to be in state care as a result of being adopted. Priority will next be given to other Catholic children. The applicant must complete a Children of Staff Supplementary Information Form, supported by evidence from a medical specialist or social worker, explaining the need and why it necessitates the child’s attendance at this school.
