"Forward Together, Together We Succeed"
Religious Education (RE) is designed to be progressive and inclusive. The school teaches about the principal religions represented in the UK (Christianity, Islam, Hinduism and Judaism) and also teaches non-religious worldviews like Humanism. RE is not intended to convert pupils to any particular belief and supports pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.
Head Teacher Mrs A E Bolam welcomes visitors to Oxclose Primary Academy, highlighting a welcoming, caring ethos, strong partnerships with parents and a shared aim of Forward Together, Together We Succeed. The message emphasizes high-quality teaching, care and collaboration within a mainstream primary with an ARP provision.
Clubs
Sports
Before and after-school clubs are offered (wraparound care).
The Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) is for pupils with physical and/or medical needs as their primary need on their EHCP. Pupils access mainstream classrooms with differentiated curricula; some ARP pupils access a bespoke continuous provision environment. Interventions include Boccia, Communication Group, Life Skills and Multi-Sports (Foundation of Light); Rainbow Room; wheelchair accessible swing; light/sensory room; and an adapted curriculum within Rainbow Room.
