Ethos & Values

"Preparing for Life’s Big Adventures"

We are kind and honest: We are warm and welcoming to all. We always tell the truth and act with integrity. We help those in need and strive to make others happy. We learn about life in all its fullness: We embrace the joy of discovering new things. We listen attentively and respect others’ perspectives. We are resilient, ask questions, and actively seek new knowledge. We work, play, and live as a team: We respect our surroundings and everyone within them. We help one another achieve our best potential. We support each other through challenges and successes. We celebrate and embrace each other’s uniqueness.

Dodworth St John’s parish plays an essential part in running our school; the Christian ethos is an integral part of all areas of school life, from the daily collective worship to the celebration of Christian festivals. We believe that Christian practice helps to teach acceptance and respect, and equips children to deal with the diverse and challenging society that we live in today. Our Church relationship is described as a deep and meaningful bond with Dodworth St. John Church, rooted in Christian values and guided by the Church of England.
