Glenfield is a warm and caring Infant School placed in the centre of wonderful, wooded grounds, with a Ready, Respectful and Safe Culture that supports high quality learning opportunities, inclusion, interactions and success for all – pupils and staff. Very best wishes from Headteacher Mrs Clifford.
SEND provision includes a dedicated SENDCo, a team of teachers and teaching assistants, Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and a Family Liaison Officer with Emotional Literacy Support (ELSA); the school works with outside agencies including the school nurse, Educational Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, and the Hamwic SEN Support team.
Applications for a Glenfield space (Year R) should be made online via Southampton City Council; the School Admission Officer processes the application and communicates whether a space can be offered or not; admissions policy information and timelines are provided for Year R start in September.
