Curriculum Highlights

SEND Provision

The Grove is a school-based provision that supports pupils with SEND in a calm, nurturing and structured environment with a focus on speech, language and communication development; it ensures each child’s EHCP is delivered and involves families, carers and outside professionals to provide care and opportunities.

Admissions Criteria

Nursery admissions are managed directly by the school with 15 hours of free early education beginning the term after the child’s third birthday; five morning sessions with entry in September, January, and after Easter (subject to place availability). To apply for a Nursery place, Registration Form N must be completed and returned to the Main School Office. Reception admissions (infant school) start in September following the child’s fourth birthday; eligible children are those born between 01 September 2021 and 31 August 2022 for September 2026 entry; all school place applications for Reception (and in-year admissions) must be made through Kirklees Council online by 15 January 2026; Attending Nursery does not guarantee a Reception place; Infant class sizes are limited to 30 by law.
