Facilities

The college is comprised of three main blocks. Two blocks have a ground and first floor, the third is full height but on one floor as to the gym being in that building. There are lifts in the two teaching blocks, so the upstairs areas are fully accessible to wheelchair users. Disabled access toilets are available on each floor. The College operates a slightly longer day from 08.40 – 15.25 on Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesdays to Friday, the college operates from 08.40 – 14.45. The site is bespoke and opened in 2016 (Learning environment described in context of the college).

Admissions Criteria

The college draws students from across the city of Birmingham and aims to create a diverse intake. If there are more applications than places, oversubscription criteria are applied in this order: looked after children or previously looked after; children with a brother or sister at the academy who will still be attending in September; children of staff directly employed by Waverley Education Foundation Trust. If places remain, applicants are prioritised by home address proximity to the college (nearest first), using straight‑line distance to determine priority within categories.
