St Clare's Catholic Primary School has a Catholic ethos; Mass is celebrated for the whole school at the beginning and end of each term; the school works with the parish Our Lady of Light; it is part of a multi-academy trust of seven Catholic schools.

Admissions Criteria

PAN 45 for entry. Admissions categories prioritized in this order: 1) Looked after children or previously looked after children from Catholic families; 2) Baptised Catholic children resident in Our Lady of Light Parish and adjoining parishes (with practising Catholic criteria); 3) Baptised Catholic children from wider areas; 4) Other Baptised Catholic children; 5) Other looked after children or children previously looked after; 6) Children from families committed to other Christian churches; 7) Any other application if places remain. Oversubscription criteria include priority for children who attend St Clare’s Nursery, siblings in the school, and straight-line distance. Waiting list maintained for postPAN applications. Admission timing follows full-time reception from September after fourth birthday. Mid-year admissions handled directly by the school. for queries contact the school office.
