Curriculum Highlights

The school follows the National Curriculum and uses the Cornerstones Curriculum for topics. Reading is placed at the heart of learning to build fluency and confidence in readers. Curriculum is designed to enable connections, with retrieval practice and ongoing assessment. Technology is embedded with iPads across the school. Enriching the Curriculum includes assemblies, clubs, and a wide range of extra-curricular activities; visits and residentials; and strong music provision. Active citizenship through Student Council and Youth Parliament, plus Mental Health Champions for safe playtimes. A broad programme of sports and physical education with multiple competitions and partnerships. Subject-specific detail is organised around core subjects with a progressive approach to knowledge and skills. Trips and visits (e.g., Year 5 Hampton Court; Year 4 Irthlingborough; Year 6 Staffordshire) and a Year 4–Year 6 residentials program.
