SEND Provision

South Charnwood’s SEND provision is coordinated by the SENDCo, Mrs G. Sharp, with Deputy SENDCo Mrs V. Lett and a team of Learning Support Assistants. The department coordinates provision for pupils with SEND, liaises with parents, tutors, teachers and external agencies, delivers bespoke group and individual interventions, ensures appropriate exam access arrangements, supports successful transitions between key stages and external provisions, and develops and reviews SEND policy. Admissions Criteria

South Charnwood High School is an academy High School which admits pupils of all abilities from 11–16 years of age. Applications for Year 7 are usually through Leicestershire County Council; in-year admissions are also managed by the school. The school aims to provide access to the full curriculum for all pupils and states that it is in line with the DfE School Admissions Code.
