Headteacher Simon Greiff states Manor High is an inclusive, fully comprehensive school with high expectations and a commitment to excellent education and opportunities beyond the classroom; the aim is to develop excellent people with excellent qualifications.

Curriculum Highlights

Maths and Science are particular strengths. Growing range of opportunities in work based learning, vocational pathways and apprenticeships. Strong careers guidance and a focus on personalised learning and development. Arts and sport are very important with enrichment and many after-school activities and residential trips.

The Governors ensure that the development and co-ordination of special educational provision is an integral part of the development of the school. They are committed to ensuring that the best possible education is provided for those who need it.

Admissions Criteria

Admissions follow the local admissions code with oversubscription criteria based on feeder schools; Year 7 oversubscription list exists and there are waitlists for Year 7 (Years 8–11 have no waitlists). The school is planned to expand from 900 to 1050 places, with a Year 7 intake of 210 students from 2025-2026, increasing gradually to a maximum of 1050.
