Welcome message from Head of School, Mrs S Oxley, emphasising Benyon’s aim for happy, confident pupils with a passion for learning, the development of the whole child, and active involvement of parents, carers, staff and the community in children's learning. Curriculum Highlights

English: National Curriculum; Read Write Inc. in Early Years and Key Stage 1; banded reading books; Nelson handwriting; daily grammar, punctuation and spelling. Admissions Criteria

Reception intake for 2025/2026: applications may be made from 1 November 2024; applications must be received by the Local Education Authority by 15 January 2025; this applies to children born between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2021. In-year admissions should be arranged via Thurrock Council. Nursery admissions can be made by emailing admin.bps@catrust for a form, with sessions offered as 8.30-3.15 (full) or 8.30-11.30 (AM) or 12.15-3.15 (PM).

Financial Information

The cost of a school meal is £2.60 per day. School meals are paid online using Arbor; cash or cheque payments are no longer accepted. Parents are responsible for setting up an Arbor account to pay for school meals.
