Welcome to Farringdon Academy. Head Teacher Claire McDermott describes a caring, nurturing environment with a broad and balanced curriculum. The school aims to help children become confident, independent and resilient learners, guided by the five values: Be Kind, Be Ready, Be Resilient, Be Respectful, Be Safe, and to live, learn and inspire together.
Nursery places are allocated in accordance with the academy's admission criteria; children can start at three years old and nursery registration is via the academy reception (birth certificate required). Reception admissions are administered by the Local Authority; apply online at Sunderland City Council admissions site. In-year admissions and transfers are handled by the academy with transfer paperwork processed through Sunderland City Council.
