Head Teacher's Message

Welcome from Principal Claire Stoneman, highlighting Lift Four Dwellings Secondary as a small school with a big heart, a commitment to excellent education, and pride in being highly improved for progress in 2024.

SEND Provision

The academy provides SEND support across four areas of need: Cognition and learning; Social, emotional and mental health; Communication and interaction; Sensory and/or physical needs. Pupils with medical needs receive Care Plans compiled in consultation with parents and a medical assistant, with staff receiving regular medical training. Medicines may be administered in school with signed parental consent and in the original packaging. The school operates a four-team structure to meet SEND needs and offers information about the Birmingham local offer and SEND policies.

Admissions Criteria

Lift Schools is the admissions authority for Four Dwellings Academy. Applications for places are made in accordance with the local authority’s coordinated admission arrangements. The secondary school admission round for Year 7 places opens in September each year, with a statutory national closing date of 31 October. Open Evening for prospective students and their families is in early October. National Offer Day occurs in March. Applications can be made online via the local authority’s admissions website.
