Welcome to Lift Shafton. The school describes itself as a Good school, with Outstanding leadership and Outstanding Early Years education, and notes it was judged Outstanding in every area in the latest Ofsted inspection. The Principal is Mrs J Charalambous.
Lift Shafton is fully inclusive and every child is welcome. It provides SEND support across four teams: Cognition and learning; Social, emotional and mental health; Communication and interaction; Sensory and/or physical needs. Pupils with medical needs have Care Plans, medicines are administered with parental consent and medicines in the original packaging; staff are trained to support medical needs and there are SEND Information Reports available.
Lift Shafton uses Lift Schools as the admissions authority. Applications should be submitted via the local authority’s coordinated admission arrangements, online via the local authority’s admissions website. Open Evening for prospective students and their families takes place in early October. National Offer Day falls in March. Mid-year admissions are available through the Local Authority. Waiting lists may be used if spaces are not available, and Educational Health Care Plans may be considered where appropriate.
