Breakfast Club: Yes After-School Care: Yes

Merlin's Club provides breakfast and after school care for children from Reception to Year 6. Morning provision runs 7:30 am to 9:00 am. After school sessions are from 3:15 pm to 4:30 pm and 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm. Each session costs £6. Breakfast is provided to students who arrive before 8:40 am; small snacks are provided in the After School club. Enrolment is via the School Office or available as a download. If space is unavailable, you will be placed on a waiting list. Payments can be made by Go Cardless, Parent Pay, childcare vouchers or Tax-free childcare.

Admissions Criteria

Manston St James CE Primary Academy is part of Abbey Multi Academy Trust, whose admission policy applies. Current policies include reception admissions for 2025/26 with a published admission number (PAN) of 60 per year group; a Supplementary Information Form (SIF) is required for faith criteria. In-year admissions follow Leeds City Council arrangements. Waiting lists are kept until the end of the school year and appeals are handled independently. Applicants should apply to the local authority (Leeds City Council) for a place, and may also submit a SIF for faith criteria directly to the school.
