The school is proud to be part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Nottingham and to be involved with two local Parishes: Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Bulwell, and The Good Shepherd Church, Arnold. Parish Priests Father Richard Hardstaff and Father Philipp Ziomec often celebrate Mass at the school, and parents/carers are welcome to join. The school also joins parish communities for Saturday evening masses and provides readers and gift-bearers. The school works closely with its parishes to provide Sacramental Preparation for First Reconciliation and First Communion.
Headteacher Sarah Sweeney-McGinty welcomes families, emphasising that every child is special and that the child is at the centre of everything the school does. The Catholic faith is central, with aims for spiritual and moral development alongside academic growth, and the gospel values of love, honesty, respect and pursuit of truth are highlighted.
The school is inclusive and ambitious for all pupils. It is a Catholic mainstream, inclusive school that complies with the Special Educational Needs Code of Practice. The SENDCO is Miss Z O’Neill.
