Admissions Criteria

Southfields Academy admits 180 pupils to Year 7 in September 2025. Where more applications are received than places, the oversubscription criteria specify priority order: (1) children with a Statement of Special Educational Needs or an Education Health and Care Plan naming the academy; (2) looked-after children and those who ceased to be looked after due to adoption or certain orders; (3) children with a known significant medical or social need; (4) children with a sibling on the school's roll; (5) children living nearest to the school by straight-line distance. Proof of address is required, and there are provisions for waiting lists and appeals. Applications for in-year admissions follow the same oversubscription criteria.
