Wraparound Care

Breakfast Club opens at 7:45am; offers cereals, toast, fruit and juices and quiet activities; wraparound care can be booked via the MCAS wraparound tab; cost £3.50 per session.

SEND Provision

SEND at Kidgate Academy is led by the SEND Co-ordinator. The Academy offers class-teacher input with targeted support, Independent Education Plans (IEPs), and may develop an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) if needed. The SENDCo coordinates support, liaises with external services (e.g., Speech and Language Therapy, Educational Psychology Service, CAMHS, SEST, SALT, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy), maintains the SEND register, and uses a provision map to plan and review provision. Parents are involved and reviews occur termly; EHCPs may be pursued through a statutory process if required.

Admissions Criteria

Kidgate Academy is described as a non-selective and inclusive academy; the Lincolnshire Gateway Academies Trust is the admissions authority; admissions for Reception in September 2026 are coordinated by Lincolnshire County Council; in-year applications are welcomed; a waiting list is held until 31 December; oversubscription criteria are detailed in the Admissions Policy.
