Curriculum Highlights

World-wise Positive mind-set Aspirations Oracy

SEND Provision

The school is inclusive and uses its best endeavours to ensure provision for all students is of a high standard. The SENDCo is Mrs R Parish. Weekly drop-in sessions run each Monday morning from 9am–10am. The school provides quality first teaching with reasonable adjustments to enable progress, and resources such as the BMBC Parent carer and young people Guide for SEND support in schools are available.

Admissions Criteria

We offer 15-hour and 30-hour government-funded nursery places. Children can start nursery based on birthdate windows (January births eligible in January, April births eligible in April, September births eligible in September). To apply for a nursery place, visit the admissions link. It is vital that you complete the online application form to secure a place in Foundation Stage Two (Reception) or a Year 7 secondary place. The closing date for secondary school applications is usually within October, and the closing date for primary school applications is usually within January. For general questions about admissions, you can contact Barnsley School Admissions.
