Head Teacher's Message

Alexandra Park School is a thriving and dynamic school which boasts excellent examination results and an outstanding curriculum experience in both the main school and the sixth form. The school is situated on a five-acre site near Oliver Tambo Park overlooking Alexandra Palace. Opened in 1999 to create a great comprehensive school at the heart of the community, APS offers top-class education with a wealth of opportunities. The school motto is “Success for all,” and everything is planned to achieve this vision. APS provides a supportive, friendly environment with high standards of discipline and behaviour to ensure a safe, structured learning environment where every individual is encouraged to strive for excellence. The objective is to foster confident and responsible citizens prepared to meet life’s challenges. The curriculum is predominantly traditional with a focus on English, Maths and Science, and the school notes outstanding progress at Key Stage 4 and a highly regarded Sixth Form, which offers 37 courses. Ofsted judged the Sixth Form Outstanding in every category. The school emphasizes high-quality staff and cutting-edge educational developments to enhance the pupil experience.
