Admissions Criteria

Admissions to Whickham School are handled by Gateshead Council through its coordinated admissions scheme. The Gateshead Council site provides access to the online application form. The deadline for on-time admissions is Friday 31st October 2025. The school notes it was significantly oversubscribed for 2025 from first choice preferences and that places cannot be guaranteed. Year 6 Open Evenings are listed on the admissions pages, and in-year admissions are handled by Gateshead Council. For Sixth Form admissions, contact Miss L Gainford (Head of Sixth Form).
