Welcome message from Mrs T Stephenson, Headteacher, outlining the school's mission to transform lives and strengthen communities, guided by the core values of Courage, Love and Ambition, with emphasis on high expectations, a rich and sequenced curriculum, and preparation for a fulfilling independent future.

Curriculum Highlights

Three-year Key Stage 3 curriculum and a two-year Key Stage 4 curriculum with progression to Sixth Form. Spiral curriculum design intended to help students remember more and build on prior learning, with knowledge-rich sequencing and ambitious vocabulary. Assessment structure includes a weekly cycle with a dedicated 11th week assessment period and a 12th week 'super teach' feedback week. Guided reading tutorial programme in Years 7-13, with teacher-led reading and exploration of fiction and non-fiction to develop literacy. Focus on developing literacy, critical thinking, and active citizenship within a broad, high-quality curriculum. Professional development for teachers through Incremental Coaching to improve teaching and learning.
