Admissions Criteria

Year 7 admissions are centrally organised for the King Edward VI Foundation rather than directly by the school. Registration online between May and June. The entrance test takes place on a Saturday in September of Year 6. A Local Authority preference form must be completed naming up to six schools. Local Authorities use an equal preference system; offers are made based on criteria including distance. Results are sent out by Local Authorities on 1 March. For widening access, eligible Year 4/5 pupils can access Atom Home test-preparation support via a free online platform after status verification. Further information and admissions maps/policies are published by the KE Foundation and the KE Camp Hill site.
