Admission criteria (Catholic Education): Catholic families (including looked after and previously looked after children and those in state care outside England adopted); Catholics attending St Helen’s Infant School supported by their Parish Priest; Catholics whose permanent residence is in the parishes of Brentwood and Warley, Ingatestone or Ongar supported by their Parish Priest; Catholics from other parishes with Priest support; other looked after children; then children who do not fall into these categories. Within these criteria, priority is given to those with a brother or sister at the school, those with medical grounds supported by a doctor's certificate, and proximity to the school (straight-line distance). The local authority coordinating authority is Essex County Council.
