In Year 7, Harborne Academy offers a bespoke English Plus curriculum (project-based, incorporating English and History) KS3 subjects include English, Maths, Science, Geography, History, Information Technology, Design Technology, MFL, Drama, Music, Religious Education and Physical Education In Year 9 students begin exploring KS4 options and may select four non-core GCSE subjects to study in Years 10 and 11 A wide range of GCSE and vocational subjects are offered including: Triple Science, Geography, History, Design Technology, Sports Studies, Health and Social Care, Business, Art, Music, Drama, Food Technology, French, Spanish, Religious Education and iMedia The academy promotes Arts education with Bronze Arts Award for Years 7–8, potential Arts Mark, and participation in the Hippodrome Education Network (HEN) for theatre experiences Careers education is embedded with a Gatsby Benchmark-compliant programme and a Careers Advisor Enrichment includes clubs, trips, theatre visits and other activities; the Arts are supported by facilities such as pottery and 3D Design (including a kiln, laser cutter and 3D printer)
