We are a secular school with no religious or ideological affiliations. We take a non-judgmental and open-minded view of religions, encouraging tolerance of all beliefs whilst promoting the importance of ‘thinking for yourself’.
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities inclusion policy; Individual Education and Healthcare Plans (EHCPs) are made in consultation with parents, and any other services involved with the child’s upbringing. Individually tailored provision plans may be offered to stretch the more gifted child, to support a child for whom English is a second language or to support those children exhibiting the need for support in a certain area. The school offers ongoing pastoral support to every pupil as part of its philosophy and curriculum, as well as extra curricular support in Maths, English and Science. These sessions are individually charged. Should other educational assessments or support be required, parents are asked to fund this personally, in addition to the standard school fees. For more details please see our SEND Policy.
Non-selective; aims to welcome a wide range of children. The school serves children aged 3 to 16, with six classes (kindergarten, three primary, two secondary) and small class sizes (around 12 pupils per class).
The New Forest Small School is part of the Early Years Funding Scheme and can offer 15-30 hours fully funded education.
