Admissions Criteria

Admissions are assessed on an individual basis. Red flags for possible non-admission include persistent or extreme physically aggressive behaviour, persistent bullying where prior intervention has failed, and persistent and regular tendency to abscond. Referrals are received from the local authority SEN team. The process typically involves an informal visit to the centre with the Centre Headteacher and student, a plan detailing provision and provisional start date, confirmation of local authority funding, and a six-week transition/trial period with a staff formulation at three weeks.
