"A shining light in our community"
Bradford Academy is a designated Church of England Academy; it holds a Christian identity at the heart of its learning and states that it welcomes people of all faiths and none.
Jen Jakes, Primary Principal, welcomes visitors and emphasizes that staff are well trained, progress is regularly monitored, and children are safe, happy and engaged in activities that develop their skills and confidence.
Bradford Academy has Primary and Secondary SENDCOs, two School Led Resourced Provisions (specialising in Autism and Physical Disability), and works with external agencies (Education Psychologists, CAMHS, Speech and Language Therapist Team, Hearing Impaired Team, School Counselling, WRAP Programme, Youth services). It provides nurture/RESET provisions, after-school Homework Club, accessibility technology, and targeted interventions (e.g., 1:1/Small group literacy and numeracy, Forest schools in some provisions). Transition support is in place with feeder schools and dedicated transition days. Progress is tracked and communicated through SEND processes.
