I am proud to welcome you to Walworth Academy, where we seek to provide academic excellence and superb pastoral care for everyone in our school community. The academy emphasises high expectations of attendance, punctuality, behaviour and effort, and is part of the Ark network, aiming to secure the best possible progress for students and celebrate success.

Curriculum Highlights

Core subjects: English Literature and English Language and Mathematics (all students study these) Two to three Science subjects (decision taken in Year 10) CARES Curriculum which includes Personal Social and Health Education and Religious Education (non-examined courses) Physical Education Up to four optional subjects; recommendation to continue in humanities (History and/or Geography) and in a performance subject (Art, Performing Arts in Dance, Drama or Music, Music GCSE, Photography, Sport and/or Textiles) Languages: Currently Italian, German, Portuguese, Arabic and Turkish (strongly recommended for many students) Music GCSE and Performing Arts Music may require continued instrumental lessons throughout the course
