Welcome from the Principal: Harris City Academy Crystal Palace aims to provide high quality education and training for students of all abilities and backgrounds. We emphasise traditional standards of uniform, good manners, discipline and respect while providing a very relevant and modern education which will enable our students to succeed in the workplace and society of the twenty-first century. - Mr Rigby

Curriculum Highlights

Three-year Key Stage 3 curriculum with GCSE and vocational options in Year 9; students take English, Mathematics, Science, Physical Education, Religion, Philosophy & Politics, History, Geography, Art, Computer Science, Design and Technology, Music, and one of French, Spanish or Mandarin. KS4 options include a broad range of subjects: Art and Design, Business Studies, Citizenship, Computer Science, Design Technology, Drama, Economics, Food, Nutrition and Preparation, History, Media Studies, Music, Religion and Philosophy, Sociology, Physical Education; literacy is promoted across all subjects; assessment and revision guidance are provided. The curriculum emphasises literacy, debate, enrichment, and personal development alongside academic achievement; SMSC and British Values are embedded through tutor time, assemblies, thematic days, and a personal development focus. The academy sits within the Harris Federation, enabling collaboration and sharing of high-quality teaching and knowledge across its academies.
