Head Teacher's Message

Headteacher Ardeep Virdi describes Kew Riverside as a vibrant, welcoming one-form-entry school (capacity 210) with mixed-age classes, a rich, skills-based curriculum, a strong record of above-national-average attainment, and a strong partnership with families.

Curriculum Highlights

Mixed-age class structure in KS1 and KS2. Skills-based curriculum that is engaging and challenging. Creative approaches that encourage curiosity, problem-solving and a love of learning. Learning aims to leave each child confident, polite and independent. Strong academic attainment above the national average.

Admissions Criteria

The school follows the Local Education Authority’s admissions criteria. When there are more applicants than places, allocations follow this order: 1) Children with a statement of SEN that specifies the school, 2) Children in public care, 3) Children who have brothers or sisters at the school (including full, step, half, and adopted siblings), 4) Children living closest to the school (distance measured by GIS). If unable to offer a place, the child’s name is placed on the waiting list. Appeals can be made to an independent appeals panel.
