Equality Responsibility Enjoyment Aspiration Make a difference

“Differences were meant not to divide but to enrich.” The school follows Richmond's Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education. RE is taught weekly and covers Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Sikhism and Humanism. Each year group visits a local place of worship (Synagogue, Mosque, Mandir, Gurdwara, Buddhist temple and Church). RE aims to promote spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.

Darell offers term-time breakfast and after-school care. Breakfast club runs 7:30am–8:40am at a cost of £5.50 per session. After-school club runs 3:15pm–6:00pm (Afterschool Club) with bookings via Sporting Champs. Some clubs may have fees; bookings can be made through Arbor or the provider.

SEND Provision

Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) supports children with moderate learning difficulties and other associated needs from across the boroughs of Richmond and Kingston. SRP accommodates up to 18 children (aged 4–11), all of whom have an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP). It consists of Walker Classroom (KS1) and Newton Classroom (KS2). It includes an occupational therapy space and a sensory/calm room. Children have access to a broad and balanced curriculum, with integration into mainstream as appropriate.

Admissions Criteria

Looked After Children who are in care or were previously Looked After; Children with exceptional medical, social or educational needs requiring attendance at a particular school; Children with siblings already attending; Children of staff employed by Darell for at least two years; Children living closest to the school. In-year admissions follow Richmond’s procedures. See school admissions arrangements for 2025/2026.

Financial Information

School meals are charged at £2.60 per day, with payments via the Arbor app. Nursery has 13 part-time (15 hours) places and 13 full-time (30 hours) places with fees and arrangements as listed (30-hour provision, lunch club, etc.). Full-time fee-paying nursery places are £25.00 per day. Lunch club for nursery costs £5.00 per session when not eligible for 30 hours.
