Curriculum Highlights

Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised phonics program used to plan and provide daily engaging phonics lessons (Nursery to Year 6). Reading is central to the curriculum with reading corners in every classroom and a focus on reading for pleasure. World Book Day and links with the school/local library to enrich reading experiences. BRP, Switched on Reading and Writing interventions to support reading and writing development. Whole Class Reading in Years 3–6 using Reading Gems (Define, Retrieve, Summarise, Infer, Predict, Relate, Explore and Compare).
