Pupil Premium funding is allocated to pupils eligible for free school meals and to other pupils identified as vulnerable; decisions are made by the Headteacher in consultation with staff, monitored through ongoing and fixed-point assessments, and reported to Governors.
Admissions are controlled by Wakefield Local Authority. Each September up to 60 pupils can be admitted in each year group (Reception to Year 6). There is a Wakefield Admissions Policy with deadlines, and parents may visit the school prior to admission by arrangement with the Headteacher. The school uses catchment-area preferences and aims to admit pupils living within the catchment first.
