Woodfield School presents a warm welcome from Interim Principal Nico De Groot. The school aims to be the very best in SEMH education, emphasises warmth, care and empathy, and operates on three sites with ERA (Effort, Respect and Ambition) as core behaviours. The team is described as highly skilled and dedicated, with a focus on personalised support and two-way communication with parents and external agencies.
Woodfield School is a specialist SEMH provision for children aged 5–16 years, with three sites (Hawthorn Lane, Woodlands and Stoneleigh Road). The school provides a range of interventions across its sites including Lego Therapy, Art Intervention, Forest School, 1-1 Mentoring, Princes Trust, Home Cooking skills, Reverse Inclusion, Speech and language intervention, Anger Strategies, Managing Exams, Vocab Intervention, Precision Teaching, Life Skills Support, Thrive, Autism Support and subject-specific interventions. Woodfield is a specialist provision; pupils are admitted to the school only after a placement request from Coventry Local Authority and the pupil must have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Coventry Local Authority handles admissions with oversubscriptions dealt with by Coventry Local Authority. The school currently offers 155 places for pupils aged 5–16 across three sites.
