Curriculum Highlights

Jamiah has two curricula: the Islamic provision delivering full Islamic theology and the secular provision delivering secondary education to GCSE level and beyond. Curriculum is designed to provide a balanced and broad education. Students gain in-depth understanding of their faith and culture and are equipped to contribute to their community and wider society. Jamiah has outstanding GCSE results and partnerships: A-Level courses delivered on Jamiah premises via Preston College, and a Middlesex University arrangement to supplement the Alimiyyah course toward a BA degree in Islamic studies. BSI inspectors stated the curriculum is securely grounded in the school’s religious ethos and mission statement, with excellence in Islamic studies.

Admissions Criteria

Year 7 entry applications open October to January; over-16 entry applications open February to March; admissions outside these windows are not taken and Year 8–11 admissions are rare due to limited spaces; all applicants are invited to an interview; applicants are advised to apply to other institutes due to limited places; the school does not enrol students from abroad.
