As a registered Muslim boys’ secondary school, we infuse our teaching with an Islamic ethos. Islam is central to our school's ethos, and the school emphasises developing pupils academically and morally, protecting them from crime, gang violence and underachievement, and enabling them to participate in modern life while practising their faith.

Head Teacher's Message

Welcome from Principal Nojarul Islam. Jamiatul Ummah is a highly successful independent Muslim secondary school for boys, combining the National Curriculum with Islamic learning. The mission is to 'Behave Well; Achieve Well and Become Great'. The school aims to nurture, educate and inspire pupils to be practicing Muslims while gaining the right qualifications, and has achieved strong GCSE results including 100% pass rates in English and Mathematics; it has been described by Ofsted (2018) as meeting pupils' needs and preparing them thoroughly for the next stage and is historically noted as a top performing school in Tower Hamlets.
