Some pupils stay residentially up to four nights a week; an extended day facility is available up to 7pm including an evening meal. The curriculum wraps around the pupils for 24 hours a day, with a social skills programme, life and living skills activities and a varied events programme that addresses social and emotional needs.

Holly House is a Derbyshire Local Authority maintained special school for pupils aged 7 to 14. All pupils have an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP). It specialises in supporting young people who are autistic or have conditions such as ADHD, attachment disorders and anxiety.
