Welcome to King George V Primary School. Miss S. Penny, Head Teacher, describes a small, caring community where care and ambition for every pupil are at the heart of all we do. The school offers a broad and enriching curriculum, a calm approach to behaviour, strong staff development, and active links with the local community and wider society.
1) Children in public care and children who were previously looked after but ceased to be so because they were adopted (or became subject to a residence order or special guardianship order). 2) Children with a particular medical condition (applications under this criterion must be accompanied by a medical declaration form ASU75M signed by the child’s GP or consultant detailing the condition and why the school is the most appropriate). 3) Children having a brother or sister at the preferred school (not nursery) at the time of admission, or at a linked infant/junior school as applicable. 4) Children prioritised by distance measured in a straight line from home to the school’s main entrance. In all cases, if applications exceed places, priority is given by distance. NB: Children with a Statement of Educational Needs or an EHCP naming King George V Primary School will be admitted before all other applicants. The co-ordinated admissions scheme applies.
