The SEND Information Report describes a vision for children and young people with special needs: they should achieve well, be happy and fulfilled, and have choice and control. The school aims to offer support at the earliest possible point, with children and their parents or carers fully involved in decisions about their support. The Inclusion Team, in partnership with a range of outside agencies, delivers a wide range of intervention. The school pays due regard to the SEN Code of Practice 2014 and the Equality Act 2010. Copies of the Inclusion and Equality Policies are available to parents upon request.
PAN (Published Admission Number) is 40 pupils per cohort. Admissions are processed through the Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council (BMBC) coordinated admissions scheme. If applications exceed PAN, places are allocated according to BMBC’s oversubscription criteria (which may include sibling links, distance from school, and special educational needs). The school is not a selective school.
