Welcome to Muschamp Primary School and Language Opportunity Base. Miss H. Westley, Head Teacher, describes Muschamp as a larger-than-average primary school with an additional provision for children with speech and language disorders, a close family feel, and a curriculum designed to inspire a lifelong love of learning. The school is part of the Sutton Education Trust and emphasises achieving excellence and beyond through its 7 Powers initiative.
Clubs
The Language Opportunity Base at Muschamp Primary School is for children with speech, language and communication needs. It comprises three base classes (London for Early Years/KS1, Canberra and Vienna for KS2). Children integrate into mainstream classes and receive specialist teaching and speech therapy at specified times, either 1:1, in groups, or within their lessons. The base includes resources such as a sensory room, Reading Forest and Listening Lounge, and on-site therapies including occupational therapy, play therapy (3 days/week), intensive interaction therapy (1.5 days/week).
