The school upholds British Values and embraces those with different faiths, lifestyles and beliefs.
Lizzi Murphy, Headteacher, describes Hillside as an 'Outstanding' school with an outstanding team. The message emphasises that The Unique Child sits at the heart of everything, partnerships with health and social care, high standards and expectations, equality and British Values, and a commitment to securing the best outcomes for pupils.
Hillside offers provision for pupils from Reception up to Year 11 (up to Year 14 for pupils with a PMLD diagnosis). All pupils will already have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and a diagnosis of Severe or Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (SLD or PMLD). Hillside is not suitable for pupils without an EHCP or with a Diagnosis of Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). Admissions are arranged by Suffolk County Council's Inclusion Family Services Team in discussion with families, Hillside, and the pupil's current setting. Visits/open days are by pre-arrangement. For more details contact Inclusion Family Services and/or the school.
