Curriculum Highlights

Curriculum is bespoke and tailored to each student’s background and interests. Key Stage 3 includes English, Maths, Science (Chemistry, Biology, Physics), Humanities (Geography, History, Citizenship), Religious Studies, Art, Physical Education, ICT, Drama, ELSA, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, PSHE/RSE. Key Stage 4 offers three pathways: GCSE route, Functional Skills route, and a Hybrid route. GCSE route targets five GCSEs 9-4 including English, Maths and Science; Core subjects English, Maths, Science; Non-exam subjects PSHE/RSE and PE; optional subjects History, Drama, Citizenship, Film Studies, ICT, BTEC Sport, Creative Media, Art. Functional Skills route focuses on English, Maths, and life skills plus option subjects and therapy sessions. Hybrid route blends GCSE and Functional Skills through optional subjects. Key Stage 5 provides retakes of core subjects, plus EPQ or A/AS Levels or BTEC. Literacy and numeracy are embedded across the curriculum; NGRT is used to assess reading ages; DEAR reading time; SPaG is emphasized; numeracy is integrated across subjects with a Mathematics Prefect promoting puzzles. Assemblies, mentor activities, awareness days and PSHE are part of the programme; therapy sessions are included in timetables.

Admissions Criteria
