Head Teacher's Message

Bruern Abbey School aims to prepare neurodiverse pupils for Common Entrance and GCSEs and beyond, with a belief that neurodiversity should not preclude academic success. The school emphasizes tailored education, high expectations, confidence-building, and a strong pastoral approach, including excellent safeguarding and well-supported learning in a nurturing environment.

Admissions Criteria

Bruern Abbey's joining process is a five-stage admissions journey: (1) provide an up-to-date Educational Psychologist's report and any recent school reports; (2) visit the school, meet the Headmaster for about thirty minutes, and tour; (3) register for an assessment morning by submitting the registration form; (4) attend assessment mornings (English and Maths) and meet the Head of Learning Support; (5) provisional offer and/or invitation for a further taster visit (day or overnight for boarders); final outcome communicated after tasters.

Fees (September 2025 onwards): Prep Day Fee per term £12,151; Senior Day Fee per term £11,943; Boarding Fee per term: Prep £15,444; Senior £14,744; Flexi-Boarding (per night) £85; Lunch charged at £695 per term; Registration fee £300; Bruern Prep: Acceptance Fee & Deposit £1500 (Deposit £500 refunded subject to settlement); Bruern Senior: Acceptance Fee & Deposit £2000; Transferring from Prep to Senior: Acceptance Fee & Deposit £1000; Laptop Charge applies via joining instructions; Monthly Interest Free Payment Scheme available over eleven months.
