Curriculum Highlights

Curriculum exceeds the National Curriculum with languages, performing arts and conservation science featuring prominently in class timetables. All pupils from Year 1 onwards have weekly swimming lessons throughout the school year. Pupils learn to play the recorder and have the opportunity to play in the school band. Pupils compete in public speaking competitions from an early age and perform in musicals on stage as part of the nativity and KS2 annual performance. Curriculum Enrichment Week and adventure residential trips abroad or in the UK. Strong emphasis on self-esteem, confidence and independence; emphasis on a well-rounded education including the arts and physical education.

Wrap around care includes Before School Care (08:00–08:30) – £5.00; After School Care – £10 per hour (charged in half hourly blocks to the next half hour); Late Pickup – £20 (after 18:00 Monday-Thursday; after 15:30 Friday). Additional charges related to SEND: Data/plan work such as Preparation and submission of EHCP documents – £200 (excl. VAT); Preparation of an EHCP – £650 (excl. VAT); Annual EHCP Review – £25 per hour (min £100, excl. VAT).

Admissions Criteria

Step 1: Contact the school to check for spaces in the expected year group. Step 2: Subject to a place being available, the Headteacher, Mrs Amanda Douglas, BA(Hons) QTS, can meet face-to-face and arrange a tour (in person or via Zoom). Step 3: If a place is available, an offer letter is issued. Step 4: To register, sign and return the Offer Acceptance Form along with a non-refundable Registration Fee (£180 per child, inc. VAT) and a deposit (£1,200, inc. VAT), which is offset against the final invoice.
